Who's this Marie Miller?

Marie's story is a long one with several chapters - some good, some bad, some ugly, but coffee is always a part of her storyline.

Marie is a coffee warrior.

Coffee in one hand; confidence & grit in the other. From a hard beginning with no support or encouragement - No car, no money, and no resources - cleaning hotel rooms, waitressing, and odd-jobs - to digging foxholes, proudly wearing combat boots, and regularly firing 40/40 Expert on her M-16A2 - to 3am master's thesis work using grants, loans & GI Bill - to teaching, coaching, and lastly Corporate executive & Leader.

Now, she's taking all of those chapters, all of those lessons, and is going to do a few things very differently - and in a vintage VW Camper Bus.

Marie is a Corporate drop out, Feminist & Coffee Junkie on a mission to Serve, Empower & Pay it forward.

To celebrate community, good humans, veterans, and women - and all from a restored & retrofitted 1978 VW Riviera Bus - one cup of coffee at a time. Simple, but powerful - Marie's vision is clear: to give back and empower those with little or no support, resources, or advocacy - Marie had hoped she would one day be in a position to help & support veterans, women, and good humans while living her passions (and her best life). And, that day has finally arrived. TTB, Co. is coffee done right, and for all the right reasons.

The Traveling Bean, Co. prides itself on an authentic human focus, designed for good vibes, human-earth-friendly operations, and with the ability to roam. Iowa Girl. Specialty Products. Colorado Inspired.

Launched in Central Iowa, March 2021.

Giving back to Good Humans, Women & Veteran Organizations who create a meaningful, tangible impact in the Community is central to The Traveling Bean's purpose-centered operations. Marie's story is the driver of Mission, Vision & all things Bean. And it was a long time coming.
